Access to the Venue

During the Cherry Blossom Festival period and for the two days before and after the event, the general parking lot will be closed.
The Sewaritei parking lot will be reserved exclusively for large buses.* *Advance reservation required.
Please use public transportation when visiting.

  • Visitors using taxis should use the drop-off and pick-up area at the Sewaritei parking lot.
  • Welfare transport taxis may also use the parking lot at the Sakura-deai Visitor Center for drop-off and pick-up.
  • Three-wheeled vehicles such as trikes and tuk-tuks that require a standard driver’s license may not use the motorcycle parking area.

For Visitors Arriving by Train

Approximately a 10-minute walk from “Iwashimizu-Hachimangu Station” on the Keihan Railway.

* From the Hankyu Line or JR Line, please take a Keihan Bus from JR Ibaraki Station,
JR Takatsuki Station, Hankyu Ibaraki-shi Station, or Hankyu Takatsuki-shi Station to “Hirakata-shi Station.” Then transfer to the Keihan Main Line at Hirakata-shi Station and proceed to “Iwashimizu-Hachimangu Station.”

Vehicle Traffic Restriction Information

Road Closure Area The area around Iwashimizu Hachimangu Station, specifically the municipal road from the Hojo-gawa railroad crossing operated by Keihan Electric Railway Co., Ltd. to the intersection on the south side of the municipal parking lot.
Road Closure Period Restriction hours: 9:00 – 18:00
Restriction dates:
Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22
Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29
Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5

* However, restrictions may be lifted when the festival is not being held or when no congestion is observed.
Updates will be announced on the Latest Information page as soon as restrictions are lifted.

For Visitors Arriving by Bicycle or Motorcycle

Bicycles Bicycle racks are available in front of the Sakura-deai Visitor Center, and a temporary bicycle parking area is set up at the Sewaritei levee parking lot.
Motorcycles A temporary motorcycle parking area is available at the Sewaritei levee parking lot.
* Three-wheeled vehicles such as trikes and tuk-tuks that require a standard driver’s license may not use the motorcycle parking area.
【Period】 Nine days between Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, April 12, 2026.*
* The festival will be held for approximately nine days during the peak bloom of the Sewaritei cherry blossoms.
* The exact dates will be determined based on the cherry blossom bloom forecast.

Regarding Rental Bicycles

Suspension of Rental Bicycle Reception During the Kyoto Yawata Sewaritei Cherry Blossom Festival

The Yodogawa Three-River Sakura Rental Cycle service at the Sakura-deai Visitor Center will suspend rental bicycle reception during the following period.
* Due to expected congestion at and around the Sakura-deai Visitor Center during the Cherry Blossom Festival period.

For Group Visits

If visiting by chartered sightseeing bus (large bus), advance parking reservation is required.
Applications are being accepted beginning 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Please contact the Yawata City Tourism Association.

* Passengers arriving by sightseeing bus are also asked to contribute an operational cooperation fee of 100 yen per person (excluding children under 6 years old).
